On the road to recovery!

Ok, I know im a little behind these days, but hey, im a working mom and we've been busy.



As you may recall, Max was sick everyday last week. He was getting better by Wednesday but kept spiking a temp, so I stayed home with him on Wednesday, Daryl stayed home Thursday, by Friday morning we thought we were in the clear...NOT! Max woke up Fri morning and said his leg hurt. He wouldn't get up to walk on it, so Daryl carried him to the living room. So, we said, well, someone has to stay home. Daryl stayed home again with Max and took him to urgent care. He had a viral infection with a strange bumpy rash and a leg that couldn't be walked on.



By Friday afternoon, he wouldn't walk on either leg. As parents, you wonder what is going on, it was quite scary for D and I, we couldn't understand why he wouldn't or couldn't walk, we let him hang out on the couch all afternoon while we waited for his regular Dr. to get back to us. He assured us that this was related to the viral infection and that it would clear itself up within a day or two (still not very reassuring, but we waited it out--all the while, debating if we should take him to Fairview Children's Hospital). Saturday morning he woke up, still sore, and no walking, but within an hour or two, he was perky, running around the house and happy as could be.

WHEW! All Daryl and I could do was smile and thank god, that he was ok. So, as planned the week before, we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa's at the lake. We celebrated my dads birthday with lots of yummy food, good company and of course birthday cake and strawberry cheesecake (my dads favorite).
